WARNING !

What I Like About 2018? Akan ada banyak band or people that adore me coming to Indonesia, today is Liam of Oasis, which i like them since JHS, and Paramore, (maybe next time I’ll tell you why I love them so much) and one of my favorite band that will come to Indonesia, that I’ll write about them tonight is Incubus !!

INCUBUS

Pertama-tama saya akan mengatakan satu fakta, bahwa Incubus mungkin menjadi band dimana jarak antara tahun mereka berdiri dan tahun dimana saya mengenal mereka adalah yang terlama. Shame on me!! Thank God I have a bestfriend named Mr. Astronouts, he introduce me ‘Drive’ and ‘Dig’, its so fucking late but that was a beautiful to remember.  I listen their (Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger, Jose Passilas, Chris Kilmore, and Ben Kenney) music when I was in SHS, and it was 2009, bandingkan dengan tahun berdiri Incubus (1990). Again, poor me! I deserve that !  Even ‘Drive’ the first song that I listen, was dropped almost TEN years ago !! Cukup untuk penyesalan !! Cause ‘Dig’ hanya berjarak 3 tahun, (excuses).

Seperti dengan semua musik yang mampir (this one stay alive), I dig them from the first album. If you listen to Two First Album, they sounds so Funky !! Track like Take Me to Your Leader, Shaft and Hilikus for me it’s sounds like RHCP. And then they came with ‘Make Yourself’ which is an album of ‘Drive’ and Stellar’.

Walaupun Drive dan Stellar sangat sukses di pasaran, tapi bagi saya, Make Yourself tidak termasuk di album favorit saya. Ada dua album Incubus yang terbaik menurut saya. Pertama ‘Morning View’ with track called Warning, 11 am, Just a Phase, and Wish You Were Here totally stuck in my head.

The second album that make me loves them was called ‘Light Grenades’. This album hit me so deep ! Mike Einziger, Incubus' guitarist, commented  in an interview with MTV that the album "sounds like 13 different bands playing 13 different songs... Every time we're about to start making a new album, I tell myself, 'Okay, this one's going to be cohesive,' and it never happens. I will tell some, ‘Dig (so smooth), Annamolly (so energic), Earth To Bella (so deep), and Love Hurts (so hurts).

After that they release two more album ‘If Not Now, When?’ (2011) with tracks like ‘Promises, Promises’ (my favorite), Thieves, Adolescents, and ‘8’ (2017) songs like ‘Glitterbomb’ and ‘State of the Art.’

Total Incubus mengeluarkan 8 album Studio dan 3 album EP. Very productive !! 

Seperti yang saya katakan di awal, tahun ini mereka akan datang ke Indonesia, bulan depan (Februari), if I can only make one wish for February, than I wish I meet them !!! My big wish !! (semoga tabungan cukup), so I can sing with Brandon …..
